PIP Implants Advice - Our Advice

• If you have received PIP implants from a private clinic then you should contact them in the first instance. The latest information from private clinics can be found on this page.
• If you are concerned about the safety of your implants but are unable to contact your private clinic, or they are not getting back to you, you should contact your GP. They will be able to provide advice about the possibility of undergoing an examination and possible ultrasound or MRI scan.
• If your private clinic no longer exists or refuses to remove the implants the NHS will remove your implants if your doctor agrees. However, the NHS will not replace implants unless it is clinically necessary
• If you decide you want your implants replaced, the NHS will do it free if your original operation was done on the NHS.
